The white boot trend has been going strong for some time now. They’re a fantastic way to glam up a casual look. I’ve been wearing white shoe-boots with short dresses and furry white boots when it snows for years, but I hadn’t yet indulged in one of my favourite white boot looks - the White Biker Boot. As we rapidly hurtle towards Christmas, and temperatures drop below zero, I often opt for an all-white-everything look, in an effort to brighten the gloomy, dark days and reflect the frosty foliage that surrounds us and sparkles in the low winter sunshine.
From a styling point of view, wearing white helps throw light up onto the face, so at a time of year when many of us are feeling tired and run down it’s a little trick I strongly recommend trying when you’re feeling less than your best. When putting together a monochromatic look like this, I highly recommend choosing different textures and fabrics within the same tonal family in order to add interest to your outfit. Here I’ve paired the ‘fish scale-effect’ skirt, with a fluffy wool jumper and an even fluffier (longer haired) faux fur jacket. This, combined with the smooth off-white tights and patent which boots, creates a look that engages the eye and is anything but boring!
