Put a Spring* in Your Step with a Statement Raincoat in Groundbreaking Florals

As sure as death and taxes, florals will be a dominant trend for spring. Similarly reliable, at least here in Glasgow, are the grey and rainy days that are bound to prevail ‘til they turn to April showers!

But just because the weather’s playing up doesn’t mean you have to hibernate in a style-free zone. With the right piece of outerwear, you can style yourself happy! By embracing colour, print or embellishment (or all 3 at once, if you’re a maximalist like me) you can make an unforgettable statement and still stay warm and dry! And the best part? The current, seasonal sales are the perfect place to pick up something FABULOUS!

A statement raincoat or trench is the perfect trans-seasonal piece to keep you dry while still ticking the trend and glamour boxes! Moreover, I find, every statement coat I buy becomes a cherished classic in my wardrobe. Joyful, colourful pieces that I return to year after year. And I have no doubt this embellished, floral print coat by Christopher Kane will be no exception!

Think Fashion, Not Fadshion!

Unearthed among the other treasures at a sample sale in November, this SS18 coat may not be from his latest (delectable) collection, but surely that’s the beauty of designer fashion - quality products that are stunningly beautiful in their own right; that last because they’re well-designed and cleverly constructed, and that transcend the trend.

Frankly, is anyone really ‘out of fashion’ anymore? Surely not! There’s personal style, there’s fashion, but to label someone negatively as ‘out of fashion’ seems to me, well, rather old-fashioned! I choose timeless style over transient trends every day of the week.

Established Meets Emergent Design in a Creative, Scottish Collaboration

By mixing well-established, global brands like Christopher Kane, with emerging local talent from Nadia Studio (and a little bit of high street thrown in for good measure), I’ve created a look that’s both high fashion, and utterly my own.
